Job Requirements:

  • Current driver’s license
  • 2+ years’ experience of residential service (diagnosis and installation of HVAC equipment) in your own company vehicle
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification
  • NATE Preferred
  • Outgoing, professional, clean-cut, and drug-free
  • Ability to troubleshoot HVAC service issues
  • Ability to install HVAC equipment and products
  • Must be able to work independently, or as a team and present estimates to customers, present final invoices and collect payment at the time of service.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work on rooftops, in attics, and other small spaces.

  • Demonstrate proper and safe use of tools and related equipment
  • Ability to lift 75lbs or more on an occasional/daily basis

Responsibilities:

 Install new HVAC and Indoor Air Quality products and equipment
 Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment and products in a timely manner
 Perform routine maintenance. Inspect and test components of systems to ensure they are operable and safe

  • Maintain required certifications
    Maintain good working order of Company vehicle, including refueling as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues, and filling out and submitting monthly vehicle inspection form. Vehicles should be washed on a weekly basis
  • Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, & safety equipment in the vehicle
  • Engage in conversation with homeowner to uncover any concern or interests regarding their AC system, which could lead to potential accessory sales or a new system replacement
  • Identify and proactively respond to potential opportunities for additional business
    Understand company flat rate pricing and generate appropriate customer invoice and other paperwork at job site
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site
  • Verify and/or obtain correct customer information
  • Obtain customer signatures before commencing work and at completion of job
  • Maintain relationships with customers and follow company guidelines
  • Participate in Company provided training opportunities on customer service and latest industry technologies
  • Communicate with clients and customers Producing invoices, estimates, and follow up on estimates
  • Be able to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers
  • Participate in Company provided training opportunities on customer service and latest industry technologies
  • Must be able to calculate heat gain and loss on all residential and light commercial buildings using approved methods.
  • Must be able to design a complete air conditioning system on residential and light commercial buildings using approved methods.
  • Must be able to estimate any job service that may be requested (repair or replacement).
  • Must understand time management and manage time effectively, efficiently, and successfully.
  • Must be willing to train service personnel in technical skills and company procedures.
  • Must possess superior communication and diplomacy skills necessary to resolve a customer complaint or concern.
  • Abide by the company dress code.

Duties

  • Perform service calls and other assignments as instructed and do so in a courteous manner.
  • Handle customer concerns, questions, or problems in an effective manner.
  • Meet or exceed the company’s minimum standards with regard to Home Comfort Agreement renewals, conversions, sales, accessory sales, and production of sales leads.

The ideal candidate for this position will have top-notch customer service skills with a strong desire to exceed customer expectations. They will ideally have 2+ years of experience and have the knowledge and ability to install, maintain, and  troubleshoot/repair a wide variety of HVAC equipment, products, and materials with industry best practices including but not limited to ductless, air source heat pumps, rooftops packaged units, conventional horizontal and vertical split systems, furnaces, duct work, basic diagnostics, high/low volt, refrigerant, airflow, start-up procedures/requirements, charging, basic airflow set-up, 2-stage testing (gas or heat pump) and indoor air quality products such as ERV’s, humidifiers, air purifiers, electronic air cleaners, UV-C lights and much more. Our technicians should be proficient the process of installation and service best practices and applications, customer service best practices, accessories sales, and proper paperwork.
